It’s finally here! We’re excited to raise the curtain on the brand new renovation that ratchets up the comfort and convenience of Braemoor Health Center’s facilities! Over a million dollars has been spent to-date on upgrading the building, including major renovations to the south wing and the lobby area. Residents will definitely enjoy the new beds, bedding, furniture, nurses’ stations, bathrooms, reception area, flooring, common space, office furniture, windows, and much more.
A gala ribbon-cutting ceremony was held in November 2015 to celebrate the newly renovated facility, with the public invited to enjoy a VIP tour plus refreshments. Mayor Bill Carpenter was honored with cutting the ribbon. “We are happy to have Synergy here in our community,” said Mayor Carpenter. “They have proven their dedication to the residents of Brockton and the residents of Braemoor Health Center by continuously working to improve their quality of care and the quality of life for their residents.”
Over 150 attendees, including seniors from the community, former residents and their families, local healthcare providers, and many other distinguished guests flocked to the ribbon-cutting event. State Representative Matt Muratore was in attendance along with State Senator Michael Brady. Pulmonologists from Good Samaritan Medical Center, Dr. Dasari and Dr. Hamadi also came to share in the festivities, along with Dr. Acardi, owner of Nova Psychiatric. Mayor Carpenter helped cut the giant ribbon with an enormous pair of scissors along with Braemoor’s President of the Resident Council.
Guests enjoyed the musical talents of George Cataldo, aka, The Silver Fox and a former Brockton city councilor, who performed during the event and entertained the crowd with Frank Sinatra hits. With a host of door prizes and giveaways, the eager attendees definitely did not leave empty-handed!
The plan to give a facelift to the Braemoor facility has been in the works for a long time and both staff and residents are thrilled that it has finally reached completion. “Now our facility offers residents and their loved ones the best of both worlds: superior, compassionate care, along with a revamped, up-to-date look and feel,” says Dov Newmark, Syneryg’s COO.
Residents are thrilled with the fresh new look as well. “The party was so nice! It felt like I was in a hotel,” said Braemoor resident Jeanie Place. “The food was really great and I felt like I was really a part of the whole celebration. It was so great being here to see all the hard work turn into how pretty everything came out. I’m really proud to stay in a place that looks like this with the treatment to match!”
